As stated here and here, avatars are allowed to be a maximum of 80*80 pixels. It also said it here, until I bought up the issue in the IRC channel earlier, and the rules stated there magically changed... (EDIT: They have now changed back thanks to this topic

Now this brings up a few issues. Firstly, and most importantly, which rules are correct? What's the point of having them if they're different in places?
Secondly, IF avatars are still limited to 80*80, then I'd like to report the following groups of people for breach of avatar rules;
Admins
Junior Admins
Moderators
Sig of The Month winners
All of their avatars are 90*90 pixels. So even before the rules were changed earlier today, they were still in breach before. Unless, of course, these special people don't have to follow the rules...
Thirdly, if the rules are indeed now 90*90, then wouldn't it be a good idea to update it in ALL of the places where avatar restrictions are listed.
And lastly, don't just say "oh, well it's 90*90 now..." just because I've pointed out the fact that the above people were in violation. If they were wrong, admit it.
Define limits, and make sure they're the SAME EVERYWHERE.
Admins/moderators etc should not be immune to the rules. The only reason there are avatar size rules is so the pages aren't stretched, and there isn't loads of bandwidth being used. If these people are so special, that their avatars should be allowed to do this anyway, then there shouldn't be rules on them at all.
Have a wonderful and productive day.
