Go onto www.halokit.com
Then sign up on the forums, and in there we have 2 Softmodding tutorials. A very detailed one, which tells you every step, every popup and another less detailed one which just gives you what you need to know

I'm sorry to say it but that site has terrible soft mod saves.. What you will want to go with is a Soft mod Installer Deluxe package. Which you can find by using the Google search engine. Get the right package for the game your using.GametagAeonFlux wrote:www.how2xbox.com

Would this be a acurate tutorial?
1) First get all the programs and software needed already posted as a topic. All Programs Are Here
2) Download the softmod installer file for 007 and drag it to your Action Replay memory card.
3) Copy the file to your xbox hard drive.
4) Put the 007 AUF game in and select load mission, then xbox hard drive.
5) This should take you to the installer menu which has many options.
6) The first thing you want to do is select backup ms dash to create a backup of your original ms dash.
7) After that select install softmod and let it install and finish.
After it's finished installing theres 2 options: install evo x and install unleash x. I myself use evo x, but it doesn't matter which one u select because you can always install and switch between unleash and evo at any time.
9) Select which dash you wish to install and select install to c. Let it install then when its done reboot your xbox. **Note: If you reboot your box with the disc tray open it will boot to the softmod installer menu and thats what u need to boot to restore the ms dash. If you reboot the box with the disc tray closed it will boot to whatever modded dash you installed.
10) Now open flash fxp and click the lightning bolt at the top which will bring a box up.
11) In the box u need to put the xbox's ip in the server or url and for username and password they are both "xbox" without the quotes.**To find out your xbox's ip if you use unleash x go to system then network settings and it should say current ip. For evo its similar just go to network configuration and system settings and the ip there is the ip u put in the box of flash fxp.
12) Click connect and then go to the e folder, then the folder with 64 at the end and open c$.
13) In c$ there is 3 folders each containing the maps. First folder is warlock and containment, second is turf and sanctuary(deltatap), and third is the 5 new maps elongation, relic, gemini, terminal, and backwash. (triplicate=terminal, dune=relic)
15) Open up DotHalo and select open map then open the map you want to mod.
16) Then select apply ppf patch and then browse for the correct ppf patch and click apply.
17) Close the map and go back into flash fxp
18) Drag the newely patched map over to the correct folder with the original map and it should give you the option to overwrite, select yes.
19) Once its done transfering, close flash fxp and reboot your box.***Note: to sign on xbox live you must reboot your box with the disc tray open and then select restore ms dash then reboot again and it will say xbox live is not responding, start the troubleshooter and go into ip settings and put it to automatic and the same goes for dns servers settings. Then you can sign on live.
The reason why it resets your settings is that you dont accidentally sign on xbox live with the modded dash and maps. Just a reminder if ur account is not banned, once you sign in live with the modded content you most likely will be banned from matchmaking because when u sign in, xbox live scans your xbox hard drive for any modded content and if it detects it they'll ban you from matchmaking.
