Giant Hunters?!
Sounds far-fetched i know, but recently i ran into a trainer (Halo 2 +13 GLOBAL) that has the ability to make your foes double their original size. I always thought it would be cool to fight giant Hunters so I downloaded the trainer and zapped it over to my Xbox C: drive. Of course the trainer didn't work. My guess is because it was made for Halo 2 before the updates, and now the file won't execute correctly. Anywayz, since I haven't found any updated trainers (particularly with this feature), i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how this could be accomplished? Thanx in advance!

Actually, it would be pretty cool to have the full package. I'm even strengthening the Hunter's melee so it can kill in one hit and send the poor victim flying
I checked out all and one, and great suggestion! I found a program called Model resizer (right up this project's ally!) and tried to tripple the size of the Hunter, but the map wouldn't load. I'm sure it's a checksum issue, but has anyone messed with this program before? It looks to me like using it means completely skipping over the whole model extraction model inject bit

Did you resign the map? Maybe thats y it wouldnt load?Actually, it would be pretty cool to have the full package. Ah! I see. Well a little update is in order. While I haven't tried the resigner yet (and i will!), i did manage to fix the encryption and checksum. This allowed the map to load and the Hunters were certainly a lot bigger, but they really didn't look much like Hunters. In fact, they looked like an entirely different creature! Not messed up like when u've got a bad decrap on a rebuild, but just different. It was still cool though, and I'll have to post some screenies, but I'm still gonna try the resigner to achieve actual giant Hunters

Every map has a signature, editing the map changes the signature, when loading a map if the signature isnt recognised then the map doesnt load.
After editing a map always use a resigner then ftp it back to your console
Resigning
If the map is from the CD then it just needs to be encryptomatically signed
If its from the DLC then it needs to be signed back to its original sig
My app has a resigner that recognises what type the map is and resigns it accordingly = http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=47347
-----------------------------------
As for the hunter, dont go 2 crazy on the model resizing, i would say x2 would be enough...also i made the model resizer

Interesting. So if you shoot the soft spot on their backs does it do more damage even though their proportions are off? What about collision? Can you walk right through them up 'til the point where the normal sized model would've started? Melee strikes?
I'd just sort of assumed that when you shot something, you were hitting it's collision map, not the actual model, and that changing the size of the model wouldn't affect where to shoot.

Oddly enough you can walk through parts of them, but at the same time, their melee distance has increased about triple the norm. Now, I had to manually add the enhanced power from their melee, but yes, can shoot them in the orange and have it take effect. You do have to keep in mind though that they look a bit different from ordinary hunters (longer necks and such) so as long as you can adjust accordingly, fighting them will be a sinch.
