for the plasma grenade it comes down to bitmaps like nearly everyeffect ive seen.
if you want to know which bitmap use hht and search for the effect of the plasma grenade then keep going through each bit that is in the list say for the plasma grrenade explosion in as a example goto effects scroll till u see the plasma grenade explosion tag click it a list will show and more than likely there will be a tag of [bitmp] that will be the skin for the plasma grenade explosion once u find that file in bitmaps in hmt extract it and edit it to your desire and then reinject it.
