couple questions about modding.

couple questions about modding.

I've been messing around with HMT3 alot and love it but I just cant figure out some things.

1. Is there a way to change the size of A(projectiles) and B(tires on the warthog)

2. How do I make a really big explosion. like the nuke. I followed the "making a nuke tutorial" and it works absolutely great but I want it big visually.

3. I saw a video where in BG they had boards or something covering the holes on the top of the bases. How do I do that. I know I have to use a modeling program. Any suggestions on a good program that is free.

4.Can someone explain how I import a grunts ai. I know how to get the biped into a level but as many of you know it just sits there. How do i get it to move.


If anyone can help i would GREATLY appreciate it.

4. Look at Aztecs Tutorial on this on the PC moddding forum..and its only been done with elites

here is how to do it,
go to the damage setting of the projectile you want to make explode, then go to force and change that to a really high number,

do note that force is not damage, you could set the damage to 0 and the force to 100000000000000 and it would not do any damage

force is just the well force

i hope i was of assistance

if you want to change the size of tires what you do is you havta load the model for the tires out of halo with hmt and then open up milkshape 3d and make the tires bigger from there, i dont know about projectiles i havnt messed around that much

for the modeling program, there is one supposedly great one coming out, well two actually sapien and HEK, but i think hek has sapien in it, these have not come out yet and im not sure that they are free,

if you have the full version of halo and you have sparkedit, you might be able to cover the roof, but i have the halo demo and sparkedit doesnt work for that so you could check that program out too

the boards cverying bases was most likely sparkedit object duplication with the logs download it in the files section
