Well In MY opinion, I like VB.

1.) Easier
2.)more people now it(is that a good thing?
3.) More tutorials on it.
4.) Its a good starting language.

If i were you id go to VB and learn it because the more you know on that the better cuz then youll know more on c++ and C# Hint Hint: Visual Basic

Meh, yell at me if you wish.

1) To the OP: No, it is NOT true that C++ is a part of VB... shoot your friend for me.

2) MunkyDung: It would actually be better to learn a language more people know... more resources, job opportunities, etc.

3) Don't take anybody's advice on which language is better than another. Try them out and see for yourself :)

4) PlasmaGhost: Just because you're "making progs like crazy" doesn't mean that they're good. What language you use doesn't ensure that your programs will be good or bad or useful.

The syntax and ideals of C++ are also in C# for the most part.

If you do decide to learn VB, then go with VB.NET. Atleast them you can get into Object-Oriented Programming and you'll be learning the .NET framework which C# also uses
