[WIP] Phoenix, flame hog and molotov cocktail finished

After hours of work, heres a preview of my tags for my next map coming soon!

Phoenix
Here is my dropship its gonna have a turret under the front window later... It has a driver and 6 passenger seats

molotov cocktail v.2
Here's the second version of my molotov cocktail
Features:
-new grenade model + animated
-realistic fire explosion
-sound of glass breaking(grenade is in glass)
-realistic sound of fire explosion
-burns anything that is in the radius of the explosion and puts players on fire
-instant explosion has it touches the ground

flame hog
I rebuilt the hog with all the anims and I always wanted to make flames come out of it :P Ill add new textures for the hog soon
Features:
-shoots farther than the orginal flamethrower
-burns anything that the defoliant touches

Hurrah for orignal concept on the dropship, but the texturing looks rather ugly. :X Plus, the pelican is actually a little more useful, as it has 8 passenger seats. Again, good job on trying an original concept.

Also, you may want to turn off the instantaneous acceleration for the explosion damage effect on the molotov cocktail. Molotovs don't really explode like high-explosives, they just spread fire.

And I like the flame hog. If possible, try beefing up the turret's model. Looks just a bit wussy right now.

ok thx for the comments ill work on that... im not a great texturer thats y the texture isint creasy...

for the molotov i know how its supposed to explode but somehow in halo when you tell a .effect to explode its already set how it will explode and it will stay still even if you change physics... i tryed to make it explode on a circle and the flames would stick on the ground, but it would require to rescript some stuff in halo actualy because explosions are already set its not set by the user... you can make the explosion bigger or smaller.... but not change its shape.

the hog isint very nice im putting the h2 model right now and my flamethrower turret will be better... because i focused on scripting the effects... getting that flame out of the turret wasent an easy job i have to recreate it because a weapon without a geometry cannot have effects in functions, only under firing effects, and it only takes .effect tags not .particle_system...

Very nice stuff, Although how did you get that warthog to remodel it. when ever I extract a model it has a ton of errors =\

The dropship seems a little too boxy to me. I don't want to be the one who puts you down or anything, its just my personal opinion (or lack there of) seeing a lack of complex and distinguishable shape in the dropship. Other than that, I think everything is amazing. Very nice work. Better than anything I've ever done.

Well you need to export the mesh of the hog with GbxModelConverter and the nodes too, select the mesh's verts and weld them. then for the collision select your whole mesh but only keep the wheels and the frame of the hog, select edit mesh and edges>select open edges>hit delete redo select open edges and hit delete again until you have no more open edges. it will delete anoying screens or lights that are plananars polys that we dont want in our collision mesh... back to the model, parent the meshes to the good frames, EX: left front tire would be parented under frame left front tire... then remake the animations or use Halo Animation Editor (i didint test it yet) get it here http://kornner.epgservers.net/mambo/ind ... ilecatid=2

It isint very hard after that it worked, in one afternoon i almost finished an other type of hog

I think the cokcpit is a little bare, try adding some computer consoles to the walls, ect....

when will this be released and i think a lot of rooms still need to be added to the dropship it is huge but like has nothing. add more seating or maybe a vehicle holding room. It would be cool if the glass in the cockpit was transparent and maybe there are like a ton more rooms in the dropship.

I cant add a vehicle room to any vehicles cauz vehicles collide with pathfinding spheres (its big balls that define collision in the world) so a vehicle connot enter another... and the phonix will be completly changed and remapped and way smaller

ok my little mind hatched an idea (scary, i know) what if you made the secondary fire on the flame hog shoot out a tank shell with the cocktail explosion and make the damage lower... this would be good so you dont have to get withing 5 feet for the hog to be effective, it can be used at a somwhat long range also... just a thought...

i agree with the dropship needing to have more texturing and blah blah blah so on and so forth... but i think the fire grenades are dead on... dont need to mod those any more imo...

omg thats great man if you dont have alot of ideas well atleast they are good when they come out! lol ill do exacly that but it will be a greanade laucher that shoots molotovs
