OMG dead pixel!

Post by 522Viper »

i got an LCD moniter from dell for christmas and today I descovered that there was a dead pixel in the upper left part of the center. OMG IT'S SO ANNOYING. When I play in a dark area in halo, fear, or call of duty 2 there it is annoying me. so I called dell up and they told me they had a polocy for dead pixels. she told me if there is more that 4 pixels dead i could replace it IF under warranty. SO im like... WTF LADY, pixel polocy?
omg... so i tried massage therapy and the damn thing still wont obey. I better pray that pixel unsticks itself.

Any ideas?

Dead pixels will often fix themselves after awhile. I think it helps if there's different colors for the pixel often.

i had 3 dead pixels on my laptop that i bought at best buy and they had the same 4-pixel policy, so i was pretty pissed off but after a few months they went away - weird, i didn't know that would happen and neither did they (imagine that, fckin idiots at best buy), but yea keep running like movies and stuff through it and avoid leaving it on your desktop for long periods (unless you have an active desktop) and if you're lucky like me it might go away :D

I've never had "dead pixels". What is it like? I recently got a new monitor, I have a Xerox 17" LCD. I've had no problem like that before. :?

They ARE idiots! My friend gave my brother a laptop for free because it was broke and Best Buy said it would cost $400 plus labor to fix it....

To make a long story short: My brother fixed it for $3.81. Now my friend feels like a complete idiot and my brother has a free laptop. :P

no offense, but nicktard your bro is a complete asshole,

he basically took advantage of a friend, and took a few hundred dollars from him

My brother didnt take money from him this is what happend.

This kid had the laptop, it was broken and wanted to go throw it in the street...

Then my friend stepped in and claimed it...

then took it to best buy...

Then gave it to my brother...

therefore it cost my friend nothing. He got it for free then gave it away.

why cant the dead pixels be on the side? why do they ALWAYS have to be in the middle? Thats what happend to my old Dell 20 inch. there was 3 dead pixels DEAD CENTER OF THE MONITOR!!!! not to the left, square in the middle. when I played CSS tho, itd be square in the middle of the crosshairs. But now Im stuck with this big blocky, old Viewsonic monitor.

I've never had a dead pixel, one of my friends did though. Annoying little bastards, aren't they?
