Single Player AI?

hey i am modding the oldmambasa.map and have guns shooting out bipds, but is there any way to make them move around? i know AI is not possible in MP but is it in SP? Anyone figure this out yet?

Can i make my marines invincible on this map also?

1 other question, how do i drive the little red car in the tunnel? uberchasses is that what its called? thanks for any help

you can have intelligant AI if you spawn them through character tags. there is an effect that will achive this. it's in one of the single player maps, near the end of the game, you play as the arbiter, and there is a circular platform that takes you down slowly and you have to fight the flood and setinels. sorry i dont remember the map.

you would edit the biped/collision of the marines. or you could spawn sargent johnson, he doesnt die.

Your talking about "Oracle" (FloodLab.map) Which is the second arbiter mission.

Sargent Johnson and the Spec-ops commander can die if they spawn anywhere besides the places they usually spawn. IF you replace their spawns with another character, like a grunt, the grunt will be invincible.

Its a preutation in the SCNR, although Im not sure how exactly to do it.

get h2x with the scnr plugin and you can up the number of ai that spawns.

The effect in floodlab is named scenarios\objects\solo\alphagasgiant\silo_can\effects\silo_can_destroyed

try swapping it around with other effects and see what you get :wink:

so i HAVE to have H2X? Insolence wont work with spawning intelligent Bipds?

If i must use H2X, can you give me a link to a download and that Plugin?

Can i get these Intellegent AI to spawn on oldmambasa.map(Outskirts)?

So if i do that confusing tutorial for outskirts, i can get AI in single player?

Anyone know how to drive the uberchasis in Outskirts?

Also can the music in the Outskirts level be changed to custom music?

The link was to a tutorial, but it wasn't for the tutorial, it was for h2x (which is attached to the end)

so what tutorial am i following? The one that comes up when you click "here"? That will allow me to add chunks to my map and then i can somehow spawn more enemies on Outskirts?

Your not following a tutorial

He was gving you a link to the H2x program... which is on the same page as that tutorial.

What h2X is for it editing how many characters spawn, with what weapons, and what vehicles.

For example at the beggining of outskirts you could spawn 11 marines instead of the usual 5 you get. and instead of them have battle rifles you could make them have plasma rifles.

Go to the "scnr" tag then click meta editor.

on the right you will see something "AI_SI" click that. Then you can view each of the spawn points and edit the AI. It even shoes some spawns that were not used.

Then it will have a list of stuff like weapons, vehicles, and number of characters that spawn.
