Le sigh.. this is going to be a long topic.
Is your xbox modded? (Please say yes...)
If not, go to www.xbox-scene.com
If yes, then make sure you have a crossover ethernet cable. This is VERY (well, not really) different than a straight. This type of cable is designed to connect machines together. I.E. a computer to computer scenario is when we would use a crossover. A computer to a modem, that would be a straight cable. Now I don't remember exactly what the pattern is, but there's always www.google.com
Look up 'How to make a crossover cable'. (Because I doubt that you have one on you)
Once done, connect your computer and xbox together via that cable. Once connected, do this:

Ketchup_Bomb wrote:(On your xbox)Go into Settings>Network Settings and set it up as follows:
IP: 192.168.0.5
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1 (No need for a secondary)
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Save. Restart.
Now, on your computer, go to Start>My Computer>My Network Places>View Network Connections>Local Area Connection.
Once there, right click it and go to Properties. In the Properties window, go to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click it, and hit Properties. Bullet: "Use the following IP address:".
And set up as follows:
IP: 192.168.0.4
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS: 192.168.0.1 (Again, no need for a secondary)
Subnet: (Should auto-fill) 255.255.255.0
Hit Ok, Ok again, and wait for your card to reconfigure. Once done, you will lose temporary connection to the internet! But like I said, this is temporary. Now hook your e-net cords from your computer and xbox to your hub. Try FTP'ing again. You should now connect.
To go back to normal settings, just go back to Start>My Computer>My Network Places>View Network Connections>Local Area Connection and unbullet the "Use the following IP address".
This WILL work if done correctly. Hope you have minimal trouble.
