How do i mod Xbox??

How do i mod Xbox?? My Brothers friend modded his halo 2 without a mod chip...He had a mod where things were moving VERY fast for him and he was shooting rockets out a shotgun.... Only thing is how did he do it without modchip?? Im a MAJOR NOOB at modding at xbox because ive never modded Xbox....Only thing i need to know is can i use action replay or somthing like a special memory card to get the programs on xbox??And how do i open the programs and open halo and mod it?? Only good thing i can mod it my PC and that is WAY to easy!!

I NEED DIRECT ANSWER....My brother said he give me $80 by end of week if i learned to mod!! I want that money
