Adjusting the color balance won't do anything with animated renders. You best bet is to make the backround a gradient or a pixel stretch. Changing color balance won't make it look good at all.
A gradient is a linear bar that you can color-customize so one color fades to another color which fades to another, and so on. Great for signature backrounds when set to Overlay. I know for a fact that not many people use gradients for backround color. Most use color balance, but gradients are better. They give you more capabilities for what different colors you want. I use gradients all the time.

the render doesnt match the background at all. the background looks dark and Hellish, but you have a render of a baby thats interested in world conquest....
