Quite honestly, the best graphics card may be just a little out of your price range. I payed $300 for mine and it's still not the best. Up there, yet, but by no means the best.
Try poking around http://www.newegg.com for video cards. That should get you started and give you an idea of prices you should expect to find.

QTF, you gotta do some research on the GFX cards, using bestest kinda...er...shows slow...ness...er...The_Hushed_Casket wrote:Somehow, the fact that you used the word 'bestest' in a sentence tells me that you won't be spending $1400 on a dual 7800GTX setup.
Get an x700 it's cheap, very cheap

I refer you once again to http://www.newegg.com. It has a very good lineup of any computer parts you might need and will give you specs and prices for everything. Do a bit of searching around and you'll find what you need.

Each page for the products they cary have stats and info on that product. What you'll want to do is compare the varius cards within your price range and choose one that fits what you need.halo2poo wrote:does it tell u if its good or not? just asking
As for if the card is 'good', just remember that 'good' is a relative term. Is it good compared to what? Just about anything is 'good' compared to integrated video.
my dad just bought that..... hes a counterstrike nut... this is why i dont play games on the computer... u get the newest best G.C out there and the next day its obsoleetAquafina wrote:Let me answer this.

Nah, the 7800 GTX's are pretty nice. I would give a kidney for two in SLi.Aquafina wrote:Let me answer this.

I have a Radeon X800, I got it on sale for about $170, plays Half-Life 2 and Battlefield 2 at decent settings. (decent as in 1024 x 768 with AF and AA, or 1280 x 1024 with no filtering)
