How many of you are familiar with the race checkpoints in sidewinder? It's pretty much just as quick to go by foot as to take a hog, and on foot you can pick up the rockets.
So I'm playing a race server, and every time Sidewinder comes up, I go on foot. I blast people off the map with rockets. I get accused of camping. CAMPING?!? If I was camping, how come I can complete just as many laps as those who aren't 'camping'? That, and because everyone is complaining so much, the hoast kicks me. I had to talk him into following me around just to prove that I was actually playing and not just racking up an obscene kill score.

Rocket whore, maybe. But anything but a camper.

yes, there are only two kinds of hacks that work, and both have disadvantages. The simple way is to set all walls on your map to a clear texture, but this means you can't see the walls and so it can be somewhat obvious you are hacking when you start trying to run and shoot through the walls.multi-genre wrote:isnt it really hard to hack halo online?

the second is very long and tedious, and requires god programming skills. It is possible to make a progrm that runs outside of Halo (kinda like a trainer) but gathers output from halo to determine where everyone is, and simulates mouse input to track a given target. This rarely works well because your latency is never constant, and you have to use the sniper riflr for it to stand a chance of hitting under even the best of conditions. It is also an extremely difficult thing to do.

Its really irritating hearing people say "oh halomods is going to be destroyed, ble ble ble"
but it CAN NOT be destroyed by questions, its just impossible, the only way it will destroy halomods is if grenadiac decides to pull the plug on it because of questions but i doubt that will happen.
Sure all these questions bother me because no one looks around to find answers anymore, but i dont think halomods will die because of it, that would be like a butterfly landing on my arm and suddenly blowing me up.
