If you want to replace a certain enemy, just go into hmt, find the id's of all the actv things you want to replace, find the id of the actv that will do the replacing, and in a hex editor, find all references to each of the actvs, and replace them with the new id. If memory serves correctly, that should do it. The Actor and Actor variants control how the biped should respond to certain situations.
I am not the merry man.

I dont think there is one where he's holding the sword... I think the game puts it in his hand when the map loads...halo2 wrote:Ok I just have question....Witch color elite is the one holding a plas sword......I know ther's long tedeses steps for getting i't for the master chief but if you swaped bipes with an elite the swaped your collor with the elite with the plas sword wouln't that work?I can test i't out for my self but can ssome body tell me how what color elite holds plasma sword thanx.

Yes, Gyphon, I'm the same XLNC from the HBO forums. Thanks for your comments on the screenshots. I did do kind of n00b thing where I posted again, rather than edit my first post, didn't realize I could do that. And I didn't know the posts are "bumped" so to speak, in this kind of forum. However, Vegito619, I have only 5 posts, but atleast I don't have 900 posts worth of crap. Anyways, rather than continue the forum war, I decided to be productive instead.
I opened up the level Keyes in HMT3 and replaced all enemies in Actor Variant with Spec Ops Elite Plasma Rifle and it worked perfectly. I even took some pictures, but it's so easy to replicate that I didn't bother to post them. To answer, Halo2, it is possible to switch to have other enemies be the covenant with the plasma sword. He is called Elite Commander Energy Sword in Actor Variant part of HMT3, and he is Gold in color.
I also played around with Hunter Major, and it seems like he is the same Hunter. He died after one pistol shot to the back, but I didn't test it extensively. That's all for now.[/url]

I might be wrong on this, but I'll try to rank them in ascending order.
Elite Minor = Blue.
Elite Major = Red.
Special Elite = Light Bluish Gray (can also be invisible).
Special Ops Elite = Black
Elite Commander = Gold (can also be invisible).
You will NOT find all these types under Bipeds, you have to go under Actor Variant. When you switch yourself to an Elite in Bipeds, I believe you can only be Special Elite, i.e. Light Bluish Gray. Currently, I have not been able to swap myself with say, a Gold Elite. It doesn't really matter much since you can't see yourself in first person. If you want to find out for sure which Elite you are, commit suicide and you will be shown which color Elite you are.
