how do i make turf darker and can i remove the sun

You can make turf darker by editing the lightmaps. In ADI (with the lightmap.lib plugin installed) find the lightmaps scenario and click the lighbulb icon... decrease the value from 100% to around 40-50%.

As for removing the sun, you would have to change the sky, try using the sky from elongation or something.

Just remove the lens dependency from the sky tag to remove the sun.

Take it easy with the emoticons dude. There are some very good tuts on lightmapping here. My favorite came in a modding pack by evilmidget. The tutorial was by gabs. The easier way is to get the lighmap plugin(which also included in evilmidget's pack) and edit in adi by going to youtr bitmap tag, search for that levels lightmap tag. Its like scenarios\multi\yourlevel\lightmap\lightmap.map (dont quote me on that) and adjust. But the best thing you could do is a simple search for lightmapping and the plugin.

Or you could just null out the earthcity/sun in the dependencies of the sky
