Someone who knows alot about softmods, HELP PLEASE!

Ok, I am using SmartFTP and I tried that FXP thingy. My problem is, When I go to get the Xbox Hard drive thing on the FTP server, It never works. I put my IP Address, password, and username- XBOX-XBOX. It always says error. I reall want to see some maps. The Ethernet cable is pluged into my router and eveything. I don't know whats worg!!!!!

Make sure "xbox" is not caps, both the username and password are all lowercase

I HAVE! None works for some reason. It says client canceled. Should I get another Linux Mech installer? or does anyone have one or know where I can get them? that maybe it...I DON'T KNOW

did u softmod ur box, u have to have that blue menu thing, or gray of u have Evox Up on ur screen, and make sure it says ur IP at the bottom right

It is UnleashX and yes, I did softmod. And the username and password is lower case. And when I post there, no one answers me. Can someone help me over AIM... If you used MechAssault to softmod.

hook it up, and click this link in IE, not Firefox, etc. IE ONLY: ftp://xbox:[email protected]/
should open xbox via windows explorer.
(or just "create a new site" in SmartFTP and paste ftp://xbox:[email protected]/ in the "usename" box.)

Say what, It says the same thing, and that the windows could not open the file, or detect. I have no idea what you said...I'M A NOOB AT THIS!

Try using the command prompt and pinging your Xbox's IP. It'll be pretty obvious if your connection is set up right or not.

Most likely you network is set to DHCP and your xbox is set to Static. Find something along the lines of Options>Network>DHCP ENABLED. Make sure to enable it. Then reboot your xbox and try to FTP to it again.

What are you trying to do? C is where stuff goes for Dashboards and BIOSs, D is the disc drive, E is the stock hard drive, F is the hard drive that gets "upgraded" if you buy a bigger hard drive, and X/Y/Z are your cache drives.

Ok, is Halo 2 burned on your Hard Drive?

If so...where at?

Is your map ready?

*Map Checklist*
Is a .ppf/.serenity or other mod applied to the .map?
Is the map signed?
If you changed the name/scenario name of the map, is it correctly added to your mainmenu.map?

If so, send the map over, load it up, and play it.

flashfxp is my favort remeber to use the ip your dashbord thing...
