How do you make stuff shoot out of guns? Example: Sheilds

I'm just starting and trying to learn to mod, but can some help me out? Also what programs do I need and can someone give me links?

You Will Need:

1. Open up your map...

2. Go to a tag and select something that you want to shoot out of a gun.

3. Select that object, for example lets go to the bipd tag (Biped = Master Chief) and now we select "cyborg_mp" and copy the "META". Its a few numbers at the top of the tag, so copy them...

4. Now go to the "PROJ" tag (projectile) - This is what comes out of a weapon...

5. Choose a projectile, lets choose plasma pistol... PASTE the meta data you just copied into that projectiles meta data and click save.

6. Close up and go and play your map!

Tip: If a map doesnt have a shield pre-modified into it, you will have to use PMI (Perfect Model Injection - Very Advanced) and that can be found Here!

Its for halo PC, but if you want it for Halo 2, just do the same thing with a different program instead called "Dot Halo" in the Utilities Section!

would this work if you used, say, a plasma pistol, and used a door off aotcr and secondry fire as switch, would that work?

No, you would need to steal the code from the map that enables the switch to communicate with the door and re-mod the code to work with the new map you imported it into, but it has been done before and its very hard..
