What You Think ?

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Max by far. However, it is very expensive and the trial only lasts 30 days. You can get a student liscence for around $250 I believe.

if you want to Re-model, then use milkshape because 3dsmax gives it additional verticies and indicies.

but if you want to model use 3dsmax.

A student license only lasts about a year, while stand alone is forever. And for a student license, you need a note from your teacher, or principle about it, because they are usually used for school modelling classes.

The way you said it made me think you obtained it through other methods. My apologies.

I got Gmax because I'm permanently broke and even if I wasn't, 3DS is WAY outside my price range and last time I... well, it stuffed my PC up.

Gmax isn't bad; the most annoying thing is it won't export in filetypes you can actually OPEN in other programs  And it doesn't render either, that's pretty annoying.
