[WIP]Elite home world map
a map on the home world of the elites i need modelers to help my out on this so i can add towers and stuff im not good at that kind of thing.id like to make all the players elites if thats possible for ce im not sure but even if i cant it will be pretty cool wiht new weapons.
well heres a slopy outline of the map

Looks like it'd make a kewl level to play. Would you make it so people could go in the orb? Or is it just for show? I've seen mods to play as Elites in PC, but not CE... yet. Hope you find some modelers.

ok, i am not being rude so dont get all angry, i am giving constructive critisism:
this orb in the middle, if those black lines are tunnels then that implies that the rest of the map is insanely huge which will not be good for a multiplayer game,
i do not see any set baes, unless the airbase is what you intended to be a base.
i take it the black area running through the middle is ground... where does that lead to, your best of making it into a box canyon.
i think you should get rid of the tree's 'n stuff area since it doesnt really add much to the level, and enclose the level in a canyon.

No i like this map idea very much, although the orb isn't as appealing as the rest.
The black is a "bottomless" pit and the gray are briges across. The trees on the side of each base provide good cover if you want a sneak attack. It would be good if those forests had some fog, not too much.
While the only ways across are the bridges and the orb, your team would have a hard time guarding all so there won't be any camping, defense will be happening at base.
But i would HIGHLY suggest you don't put banshees and tanks in this level.... but you can if you want to..... since i see you already made an AIR base. With a thick "Timberland-ish" Forest, this would be a good stealth map... but not with shees in the air.

yeah my plan was to make a very stealth map 2 or 3 banshees wont mess that up. And im gonna put in those really wierd glowing trees from 343 guilty spark.and some other trees to hide you from banshee view;)i think im going to keep the orb but just make like two tunnels going threw it still going to be a big map though. i'll get started on it as soon as my 3ds max decides it wants to work again -_-.it crashs everytime i open it.is there any1 who can send me all of the 3ds max files?

The Elite homeworld was mostly desert. As of my knowledge, there was very little grassland there at all. To keep this more accurate with the Halo story, I think you should change the setting.
And the Elite race has very very very poor technology. Their native weaponry consists of wood/stone spears and whips and to my knowledge, no vehicles what so ever. Depending on what time period this map is being placed in should determine the entire set up (weapons, vehicles, ground texture). Also you might want to find out what their planet was like. How many moons they had, etc, just to keep it accurate. I'll look up some more information for you and post back later.
EDIT: I suggest you take a good look at this page because it has some in depth information on the Elite culture. It has everything you will need to know (well, at least most of what you'll need to know) about Elites. This may influence your map a bit.

i think this is an awsome map idea, best of luck to you, i would help but i dont have 3ds max anymore.

yeah that lil white speck is the chief...if its to big oh well its gonn ahve a lot of vehicles and its going to be night time with a forest
