Yet another thing I made in five minutes that I thought I'd post in case anyone wants it. It is an optional substitute for the rocket. It may be too large so if anyone wants me to resize it just post here. Also There is no texture for it so you will have to texture it yourself.
Well yeah but I cant export objects from halo so I cant really get the scale right. If someone could post a model such as a the real rocket it would be great.
Actuall I meant it would be great if someone could post the actual .obj file of the rocket so I could import it into my program and therefore resize the sonic rocket beside it to get a proper idea of scale.
There is a link to a tutorial in my signature. But I wouldnt apply it yet if I were you as it is MASSIVE. At the time I couldnt export other object from the game so I couldn't see the scale. Ill resize it soon and make a ppf to make it easier.

but wats also cool is it spins after its fired from the rocket, plus homing attributes
Yea i like the model you made. your ideal is good about the spinning is good just needs some refinements. In a real world view, the straight unguided rocket would benefit from the spinning. It would travel faster and be more accurate. Now the guided rocket wouldn't, because of the spinning it would take longer to reach it's target. Just my view. That is how rifles have become so accurate. the barrel of the gun is groved and when the bullet is fired, it is spun which makes for more accurate shot and distance. Just My View Sorry about the long post just got me interested.
Of course you can alwase speed up and slow down the guided rocket and unguided.
