Tool doesn't like me

Post by The_Hushed_Casket »

This is getting really annoying. When I try to compile my map's bitmaps it gives me this:
Image
At first I thought I made the .tiff wrong, compression or something. But I've made it perfectly several times now, I even got some bitmaps from my old computer, that compiled when they were on there! For some reason tool does not like me or my new computer. I tried tool++ but that came up saying that my bitmaps didn't exist when they clearly did. If anyone knows what the problem here is I would appreciate it.

Well. The first error thing "the bitmap tag......starts with a directory character" just happened because you typed "\levels\..." instead of "levels\"
Don't put a backslash before the first directory type thing. I think that maybe the reason you're getting the errors is because you typed the command wrong. It should be "tool bitmaps levels\practice\bitmaps". That should get rid of the first error. And if that is the reason for the other errors it should fix that too.

It wont fix the thing with color-key transparancy.
I got the same thing, but I dunno how to fix it. My map works without the alphacompressing
I tried hard and i failed miserably. The lesson is: never try?

I'm an idiot. That fixed it, thanks, I'll deal with the color-key transparency later.

EDIT: The color-key thing is fixed with guerilla, you open up the created bitmap and change it from "compressed with color-key" to "compressed with explicit alpha"
