Help with HMT, it won't work!!!

Hey ya'll! For soem reason or another, HMT always has an error and will not let me use it, why is this? I have windows xp prof. and a good comp, so what the heck is wrong! I need to know, because my friend can use it, but i can't!!!!

If i have road runner and i get .net framework, will it take over my internet service, if so os there a way to use it without needing frame work?
