New Halo 2 Maps

Alright, I have a softmodded dash. With that out of the way, I have halo 2 copied to the HDD. Now, I want to go get the new maps via the CD that bungie released. My question is, will the update mess up my dash?

Since I haven't tried, I wouldn't know. But, if it did, all it would do is just put it to the latest M$ dash. There is an alternative. You can download the update since you have a softmodded xbox.
If you don't want to download, just let it restore the M$ dash and redo the softmod. Not to hard.

But normally updates screw up softmods... is this one different?
