I see the emblems as a thing like a post count. It's cool to get it, but it's not super OMG I HAVE TEH SHINY ORB, but just an addition to a good site.

Exactly. I'm almost starting to think it is a way of favoritizing select members...

And to think, that is why we got rid of the arbiter rank, now emblems seem to have taken on that effect. Oh well.

From what I've seen, people that are practically "loners" that barely don't do anything have them sometimes... I'm kind of thinking that anyone can have them, not just "favorites". I mean, even people you wouldn't think of having one has one, when people who you'd think would have one does not.

It's really weird, heh.

I'm really suprised how fast this thread went from figuring out what people think each emblem means to everyone deciding they're super popular, and have been around a long time, and they should have one, some, or lots of emblems...

What it comes down to is everyone going "I don't know what it means, or how to get it...But I'm pretty sure I should have one, because I said so..."

And yes, I have lots...No, I didn't give them to myself...Anyone who actually knows me knows damned well I'm not allowed (or trusted with) any sort of power on any level... ;oP

I first thought that this was going to be a good idea but a few people just think that it's a beauty contest. And it's starting to get annoying.
Like Forge said, people think that they should get on just from wanting one. But others just don't want any. (Myself included) I actually could not care less either way. One of the only positives I can see from this, is I can find Forge's posts faster. =p

I know this isn't the user forums but I really think we should just bring back the avatars to all users.
Since we have the nifty report button now.. >=D

I was meaning that in a joking way. I could really not care if I had one, I don't see it as an all important thing in life.
