when i installed the hek and it didnt install tool only sapien and guerilla
It installed tool most likely but most people don't know how to access it. Open the command prompt(start>run>[type cmd in the box]>ok). Now navigate to your Halo Custom Edition root directory in the command prompt by typing:
"cd c:\program files\microsoft games\halo custom edition"without quotes
cd means change directory and the directory you type in is where you installed Halo CE. Now type:
tool.exe
This will bring up a list of commands you can use with tool.
To do a command in tool(ex:building a cache file)this is what it would look like: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition tool.exe build-cache-file levels\map\map"
1st map being your map folder name and 2nd being the map name itself.
The part that you type after the directory is the "tool.exe build-cache-file levels\map\map", this is the part that executes a command within tool.
*Tool is only run through the command prompt(maybe another way I'm not sure of)but that's the way I use. You can also get a more user friendly version of tool that people that arn't comfortable with tool use called "tool++"*
