Milkshape modeling help plz!

Milkshape modeling help plz!

Hey guys,
well heres the deal ive been trying to make a map using gmax and using chimp to export the map and i do everything the hek tutorial says but i always get collision errors so im trying to move on to a different program, Milkshape... well im pretty new to milkshape its quite a bit different from gmax and i dont want to go and spend $1000 to buy 3ds max 7 so i was wondering if someone could get me the following im quite confused and ive used the search button....
- How to make maps using Milkshape
- Modeling in Milkshape (tutorial)
- converting files to .jms

Sry.But you will need Gmax oder 3ds max for exporting.

yep... u cant make maps in milkshape so u should (actually u need to) stick with gmax and use chimp.

I don't know how to model in Milkshape, but if you learn, just export to .obj in Milkshape, then import into Gmax, texture, and export!

Exporting errors are galore in .obj (especially from milkshape) including triangulation and distortion of smooth groups (damn milkshape's autosmooth!!!), and why would you want to use milkshape when you have access to a free, more useful program such as gmax.
