If anyone posts a mod, then someone says "omg, this sucks!", it's looked down upon. Maybe it's their first mod. Maybe they're getting used to new tools, etc. But most people recognize that even if it's not as good as the Outstanding Mods, the author put some effort into it, and worked hard on it. So it's rude to criticize it, or if you do, atleast do it constructively.
Now. Why is it OK for all of you to criticize programs and constantly complain about them? I'd be willing to bet that I worked on this program, expecting nothing in return, for much much long than the majority of the mods posted on here. Yet my program is criticized without people thinking twice. If you don't like a mod, don't play it. So if you don't like my program, don't use it. It doesn't do everything perfectly, so what? Show me any program that does.
Nothing pisses me off more than someone complaining that MY program is doing something wrong and messing up their maps, etc when I know it's simply the user's error. Yes, it does do certain things incorrectly, but I'm relatively certain this isn't one of them. Also, I take pride in saying that if you know anything about the actual map format, my program does what it does in the most correct manner compared to any others out there. So it also rubs me the wrong way that people instantly accuse it of being the cause of messing up their maps all the time.
Don't get me wrong, it does have tons of bugs, and it does mess up maps sometimes, but don't instantly accuse my program just because it's new and you're not used to it.
Ok, all of that being said, I'll take a few more moments of my time to shed some light on a few possibilities about what's happening here.
If you rename anything in ADI, it pads the end of the filename with null characters. When Insolence reads the file table, and encounters a null, it reads it as a new filename. It means that if ADI renames the banshee, it'll put some null's at the end, then when Insolence reads filenames, they will all be shifted. However, if this was the case, most other editing program's would do the same thing. Did you check if any of those also show the sniper rifle before complaining that it's my program causing the problem? Renaming in Insolence is also broken, so avoid renaming anything altogether.
Also, I'm not such a crabby person all the time, but it's something that's been bugging me for a while and this I guess is the "straw that broke the camel's back". Reporting bugs is a big part of developing & improving software, but please make sure it's a program bug and not a user error or a seperate program before reporting it.
Look bro i feel ya here man i love insolence and have found absolutley no problems except that the MC Death SoundFx get corrupted after injecting or duplicating too many things but hey i null em out or just make them the elite death sounds thats all,
