Help with signing gamesave

I have asked this question before but I did not get a good response so I am going to try again. I am wondering how to sign gamesaves. I believe I know how to find the correct signature but I do not know how to actually sign the file. I am not sure what type of signature it is whether it is a DSA or a RSA or whatever. If you know anything about this please reply below

you can do it with a program called sav3r, just open you gamesave in it and press save and it will sign it. with that program you can also edit your gamesave easily

Not the answer I am looking for. I want to know how to do it, not have a program do it. I need to know for program I am making.

xsavesigx will let you use the dll they have in your prog if you ask.
