problem with text on halo ce

hi guys ive been having problems with the text on halo ce for example when i go to type something to players the grey bar apears i hit the keys but nothing shows this includes other players typing and you have killed whoever or you have been killed by hydra and so on any help would be appreciated thanks

I think that would be text lag.... not sure though... does it happen right when you get in a game?

yeh its not like text lag because i cant see anything that i type while im typing it

You do have halo: combat evolved installed along with halo: custom edition correct?

yes i do i have had this problem before and ive tryed reinstalling halo then ce as i usually do but to no avail
