help with skining

ok well im starting to learn how to skin vehicles.
but when i try to inject them back into the shared.map file it says it needs to be in DXT1 format and i did that with the dds plugin for adobe photoshop.
but then i read that the nvida graffix card has a problem with that can anyone tell me what i need to do to fix this problem so it will work for me cause i got a really good skin for my wraith and i would realy like to post my skins only if i can get them in the proper format. so if some 1 could help me i would really appreciate it.

Whoa whoa whoa.

Sounds like you are doing it all wrong, lol.

Make sure you have the dds plugin for photoshop in the plugins/file formats/ folder.
I'm pretty sure the wraith is a DXT5 texture, when you save as a DDS, it brings up the nVidia dialog box with the DDS format options, make sure DXT5 is selected in the drop-down box! I know for sure it isn't a DXT1. Also, you gfx card has nothing to do with injecting textures. I use DotHalo to inject my textures, so try that too.
