Way to help

You need to edit the lightmap, its in bitmaps. There used to be a tutorial somewhere...

Buddy you have no idea it has nothing to do with halo2 but i spent a lot of time doing this mod and ive been modding for 4-5 years probibly in december itll be 5 years or 6 dunno but everyone gets stuck.

I put like 25 mach and 56 scen objects in the game its about 25% done it place everything in the right place and with a spechal vehical you can go though the mao and its very noisey. :P

Extract ALL the "levels\test\bloodgulch\bloodgulch" bitmaps. These are the lightmaps and such. Darken them in photoshop. Re-inject.

Did you extract a night sky like space from level a10? or are you trying to darken the normal BG sunny afternoon sky.

I have a tutorial for the varuios settings of an existing sky using HMT, in terms of setting the thresholds, distance and density, or if you go L33Ts way you can create a totally new custom sky.

Let me know.

I dont think you need to rebuild to do what L33T is suggesting. You can use HMT to extract the bitmap and reinject it. NO map rebuild required.

Let me see if I can find my sky levels tutorial.

Sometimes crap happens and you might just end up having to do that. You never know. it took me probably 20 hours to make my first skin, and that was just the red flag. I knew what I was doing the next time with the blue flag and had it done in almost less than an hour.
