Create Map in Different Editor

Post by restart »

Is there a way i can use MohRadaint, which is based of the Radiant editor used for Quake and some other games, to map out my level. Then convert it over to be used in Gurilla and the other HEK apps? If So please inform me, if not at least tell me its completly imposible.

If you can export the level into a format 3ds max can read, you could import the level into 3ds max and then save it as a .jms file and compile it. However, you might need to change the level around in 3ds max since there are some strict rules you need to follow for Halo level creation (no open edges, etc.)

The editor makes .map, .reg, or .asc files. There are options so the .map is a quake3 format, but i doubt that will change much. I have Gmax running right now, are there plugins for the program so i can import these file types or even a converter avialable?

Is there a way for you to export it to .max? .3ds? Maybe even .obj? Holy night! I think theres a Quake 3 Importer for gmax! Go to file>import and look at the file type options. If there isnt one there, try looking for a MAXScript!
