FTP?

Post by scar tissue »

Okay, I figured out a little bit about FTP but am very confused and do not know where to turn. Through Google, I found a bunch of tutorial on how to FTP from your xbox to your computer but the tutorial I found the best was here:

http://webpages.charter.net/modchipzone ... roblem.htm

Of course, this tutorial confused me like the others. Can someone please explain the above tutorial or give me another one that is easier to follow? Any type of help is much appreciated. Thanks in davance.

Not to the xbox, from the xbox to my pc. Why, am I doing it wrong?

What I am trying to do is just make renders using the Halo 2 Covenant models. I was told by someone at Yayap.com forums that to get the models, you need to extract them from the game. I asked how and since then I have been going from forum to forum on multiple sites to figure this out.

But to reply to ur post, no, I'm trying to do the opposite.

The instructions in the tutorial said if Xbox Live was hooked up than I am better off using the router but what would you suggest?

A router is easier because DHCP automatically assignes your xbox an IP, so that would be PC -> router -> Modded Xbox

the Internet cable is an Ethernet cable and the end is an RJ-45 Jack, there should be no USB involved by the way. Just two Cat-5E Ethernet patch cables going from your xbox to router, and from your router to your PC.

Okay, this may make me seem very slow but I just read something about having to have a modchip to do this...is this true?
