DirectX

Post by AthlonXP »

So, I had un-installed Halo and then re-installed it, and now it's telling me that it can't start Direct Draw. I have dual Nvidia 6800 GT's so I know I have a powerful enough setup, and I've run Halo before.. Any ideas? I've uninstalled and re-installed Halo, DirectX, and my video card drivers, to no avail.

press start, run, type dxdiag, and then when the window comes up click the tab "Display" then look DirectDraw, Direct3d acceleration, and agp acceleration. If they are disabled press enable, start halo and it should work
my pc: AMD Athlon XP 2800+, Geil Dual Channel 1GB RAM, GeForce MX 440 with AGP 8x (soon to be GeForce 6600 128MB AGP 8x), integrated audio from my mobo (supposed to be better than a soundblaster live), a Samsung SpinPoint P Series 80GB hard drive

did you have to get a modified binkw32.dll when you first installed halo?
