DXT1,DXT2,DXT ah the hell with it!!

Post by PyRoGhOsT »

Ok heres the deal, the programs I'm using to create skins:
PhotoShop 7.0
HMT V3.5
PS DDS.plugin

I save the skin files as a DXT1(1 bit alpha), default is DXT3(explicit alpha)[but HMT wont take it nor the DXT5] all default settings except the DXT1 change.

When I skin a new skin such as a spotlight for well the MC's spotlight and I save it as DXT1 and i try to inject it HMT says "Image beening injected must be DXT1" and if i try it as a DXT3 it says "Image beening injected must be DXT2 or DXT3" and DXT5 is "Image beening injected must be DXT4 or DXT5"

So I'm over here like "WTF?" I'v change everything on the DDS save chart and the only thing I can save the skins as and have HMT take them is as 8, 16, and 32 bits, but that screws up others skins and the one injected.

SO my question is What in the land of Flying Cows am I supposed to DO!? Is there and DDS plugin? A new HMT that accepts ALL DXT saves? Something special I have to do?? How do I get HMT V3.5 fo accept the DXT saved skins!?

IF ANYONE can help...uhh...I will...uhh...I will thank you.

Thx,
-Pyro-
