Downloaded maps...

A couple of friends and I have been making movies with Halo since it was released. I just recently softmodded my Xbox hoping to do some neat things with it. Now so far I have copied over the entire game DVD to my harddrive, and was woundering abuot the maps from the DLC. Where should I put them once I mod them to be able to use them? Oh and am I able to mod and play them in custom games over LIVE? Just my friends and I load up some games and do a bunch of filming because we live all over the place.

Ok, to play them on your xbox you need to add them to mainmenu.map. And you cant mod them unless you know how to resign the .lvl patch.

Would it be difficult to learn how to resign the .lvl patch? I am pretty good with figuring stuff out but some guidence might be what I need.

And the mainmenu.map I am just telling the game the location to the maps correct?

If anyone has a few minutes to explain...

To add maps gohere and it'll show you.

The .lvl patch on the other hand.... From what I hear its a pretty complex algorithm although the Mimses team has figures it out. I might poke around one of the lvl patches and see what happens...

hehe... I dont think anyones going to give out the lvl algoritm because there would be so many more cheaters on live.

Actually you are probably right, better not give that stuff out to the gerneral public. I am not about the whole cheating scene, My live name is okt00, check it out I am a pathetic lv 11, I have had this account for 2 years...
