Finally achieved AI in multiplayer
Thanks to one of the great Halomods tutorials, I've finally managed to get smart, decrapped, working AI into multiplayer. Now there's just one question. How do you increase the number? The tutorial asks you to swap out the drivers of vehicles, which works, but it only puts a few in there. Isn't there a way I can swap out the location of something like a Ghost for an Elite, then continuously duplicate it in SparkEdit? I've done something similar before when it came to vehicle duplication, but it's been so long since I've modded, I've forgotten which files contain what for that sort thing. Any suggestions?
There is a max number of AI bipeds that can be supported on an MP map.
It seems to vary from map to map, but is around 24 at one time.
If you exceed it, your AI will spawn invisible or Bullet proof, or some of
your donor vehicles will be empty.
You cannot directly swap the AI for a vehicle, if you do they will not move
or shoot. You can simulate AI "respawning" by meta swapping you AI
enabled Vehicle with a weapon on the map and adjusting the weapon
respawn time to avoid too many at once.
You can put the AI into a multiplayer map, but you cannot play a
multiplayer game against them, they do not sync over the net.

I have indeed been reading up on your AI experiences and research and I just gotta say y'all simply rock the house! By the way, much thanx for the AI respawning tip
At least now the game wont end so quickly. I also managed to simulate a Sentinel Major in Blood Gulch by putting an AI in a newly skinned banshee that simply hovers in the center of the board. Primary Fire: red needles. Secondary Fire: blue fuel rod plasma. I read up on the thread about getting the AI to drive like stoners and it's hilarious! ...Yet oddly enough I keep getting my but kicked by Elites in warthogs.
Thanx for adding so much more life to the good 'ol original Halo: Combat Evolved
