Wow, bitmaps are a bit confusing...

Is there some sort of 3d preview program? Because i'm tryin to skin a warthog, but i just don't know what the hell is what on this bitmap. I can pick out easy things like the seat and the side of the thing, but i still don't know what everything else is, and i dont want to have to open halo and get a game started every time i want a 3d preview... Any tips on knowing what i'm looking at when i open a bitmap?
