Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

a few halo editing questions

Post by vaticinator »

ok hopefully this is the right forum unlike last time but i have
a few questions from a halo modding rookie.
1) is it possible to take for eg the hanger from the pillar of autumn and use it in 3dsMAX6
2) how do i make it loke a multiplayer level so i can explore?
3) how do i get the pelican textures so i can use on a model i found on turbosquid and the other skins and b able to use in a image editiing program(eg Photoshop)
4)what do i need to do things to the game other than halopc and haloce??

i think thats all my questions for now

It is possible, but you would have to find a way to export it. You can use HMT to export a section of the first level, like they did with AOTC. I've also heard that you can use sparkedit, but I never use that anymore.

What?

Again, use HMT. Go into the Bitm (bitmaps) section and click on a skin. The option to export is on the right. They export as .dds files, so you will have to either use the photoshop plug-in or find another way to open them.

You have to decide which you want to mod, PC or CE. THen, go find the apropriate tools and programs for it.
