HMT 3.5 problem

whenever i go to rebuild a map, it takes way too long, so it never finishes, i sat there for an hour just staring at it and the progress bar wouldnt even budge, and my computer is pretty fast.
i tried re downloading hmt but it didnt work!
what do i do to get the rebuild map thing to work?

ps.
this is off the subject of my question, but what is a good desktop recorder for making tuts?

well it normally means that you haven't done the process leading up the rebuilding the map right. Look for a tut and see if you are doing it right. Also a good program for making tuts is Cam Studio which you can get in the utilities section.

To take a screenshot (Thats what I believe you meant by desktop recorder) you hit Print Screen on your keyboard, then go into paint and paste. Save as.

If you're talking about movies, try out Fraps, but it's not free. It should have some sort of trial though.

i have the trial fraps already but it cant record desktops.

and i have been following the tut im using correctly, ive double checked and have redone the tut a lot but the same thing happens.
