It looks nice, only the yellow may be a little bright. If you have the bases finished, I could try to help you. :)

Is it bump mapping or is it high poly?

It may be bump... but it is a little bright in that one spot, I would make it somewhat darker.

edit: yeah, hi poly too it looks

you don't apply the bump map in 3ds max.You apply it later in the shaders

yes, but by making that area of the texture darker, cant it also cause the bump map to be darker?

edit: hey Patrick, get on AIM, I'd like to talk to you about that Canyon Map. :)

AGH! My eyes! They burn! I like t3h layout, but get rid of the freaking mountains on the rims, I absolutely hate it when some nweb makes a BOX map. If you are goin to make a map:

1. Learn to type.
2. Try to make decent at least comprehendable renders.
3. DON'T post images as THUBMNAILS!! It's bad enough for 56k people to have to load your crapppy renders, then have to click on the damm thumbnails and wait for each one to load individually!
4. Don't just use EXTRUDE to make the mesa's! Use BEVEL! Apply some god damm displacement!

Hosnetly, what is UP with thew incredibly FUZZY renders?! Did you paint them on the back of a polar bear and then photograph them or something?!
Good bye.
