"cant update edge"

umm ive been working for about a month on this map. and after im done there are about 4 errors that say cant update edge... can someone please tell me wat the hell do i doo... i already used STL check in 3dsmax and it shows no errors

Well, if you did STL check on the whole map at once, and you have bases and stuff that are different objects, I suggest selecting each object one at a time and STL checking that one object selected. Also, make sure that you have the bullet next to "open edge" selected in STL check. If all else fails though, look around your map to see anything. Also, sometimes STL check will say no errors, but there are still some. When you do the change material ID to w/e, make sure you look to see what is changing. Then just delete that face and remake it in the polygon edit mode.

I'm new to mapping and im having the same error when trying to compile the .jms, im getting 16 non-updatable edges and they're all in the same area. is there a way to zip to those edges? im using gmax with the chimp 1.6 exporter.

I dont "see" any bad faces, there are 20 open edges around the bases but those arent the non-compileable edges.
