The new halo ce update wont work for me (I USE A CD 2)

I went to play ce and it said i had to update yay now every one gets patch right and community isnt split.... but umm first problem wouldnt auto download i had to go and personally download the patch from gearbox... I installed it no problem Now i cant play halo ce AT ALL i can get to the main menu and acess all the menus and all that crap but i cant play it... (YES I DO HAVE A CD) I just kant play it... I go to play a game in lan it says unable to join game then online when i try to refresh the servers i get this screen...

plz help..

Well, that usually means a number of things. The most obvious are:

You're computer lost it's internet connection.
GameSpy is corrupt on your computer. You could try reinstalling it.
And...I can't remember what else I was gonna say.

or it could have somthing to do with me using end it all to end a bunch of processes my pc doesnt need to run lol.. one of hte processes i ended i think (not shure what one) screwed up my network heh..
