DECOY's FLood Gulch

Post by DECOY »

It's almost finished. They're all in it. I've ramped the AI and they are as
mean as hell....It should be posted in a day or two at most. I think this is
my best yet, by far.

my bet is that he made the fog color black and really decreased the range needed for it to have full effect, probably just for "atmospheric" purposes

Nice, but I say change the sky stuff. The black doesn't fit. Try to take over 343's sky ;)

I'm probably gonna go with the x10 space sky as it has a bright moon and
that cool revolving galaxy.
But i'm not shortening the distance or darkening the map anywhere near
as much as in the test pic anymore. I have PMI'd and hexed in the bugs
and rain for a bit of atmosphere.

Added a crash landed pelican, and a crashed dropship, along with a team
of Uber Elites from the Icefields mods. Neither the dropship or peli will be
flyers, as the map is too small. There is one Banshee still available though.
a few huge trees for cover.

I am tweaking all the respawn times and concentratring the flood spawns
in a few key areas. I should have thought of this before, post for
some suggestions BEFORE you release the mod. 8)

Make the Elites attack the Flood. No idea how you do it, maybe have to create a whole new team, but make them kill each other. Or else take the Elites out.

Ok. Major update.
It just wasn't happening with Bloodgulch, tehcnically everything was ok.
But no atmosphere. I was adding a whole bunch of scenery and stuff to
try and turn Bloodgulch into suitable Flood country.

The answer suddenly struck me..... THE FLOOD INFINITY MOD.
Image

Basically everything I was trying to make work in BG, fits like a glove in
Infinity. Great atmosphere, superb Flood ambush country.

Gotta love taking these guys on with a flamer :D
