dumb question
Ok, I usually don't do any perfect model injection or map rebuilding in my mods, so I suck at that. Anyways, I was wondering if I could duplicate a sniper rifle, but I want to have one of the sniper rifle models as the normal sniper rifle, and one with a verticie dragged model. Is it possible? My slow-ass computer takes a long time to rebuild maps, so I don't want to try and I don't really know how to duplicate models (whenever I duplicate a model, they become the same tag even though they have different metas and different names)

Normally when you duplicate a vehicle or weapon for example, you only
copy and rename the files and references that will be different on your
new version from the original.
What you want to do will involve extracting the model, copying all the
Snipers related files, renamng the copied directory, editing all the location
references within the files as, say sniper2. You will then need to decrap
your renamed model, rebuild the map, include the new vertices and
indices of your sniper2 model (because you want to then change it without
changing thew other sniper) list all your new files as added.
Once rebuilt you can swap it for another weapon, to place your new
second, fully independent of the first one, sniper on the map.
Unless someone else can tell you exactly which files you can change for
this, and which you can leave alone.......
