Cant Connect To XBL

i have xbox live and for some reason i cant connect ive been able to connect before....it hasnt been connecting for 2 weeks now and i can connect fine on my comps i run a DSL Modem and its fast enough to run whats wrong can any1 help me please

first make sure ur xbox detects ALL conections by goin in the xbox menu > settings > network

if ur dsl requires u to conect to ur ISP then go in pppoe or something, and type in ur user, pass,

if not just turn pppoe OFF, and in dss, or ip ,EVERYTHING BELOW THE CONNECT button , enter them and make sure its at automatic, then connect, i should detect ALL the cable , ips, blablbal, and ur done!

U might have to allow connections through to your xbox via your firewall as some times it is known to reset it settinga make sure it's not blocking it, also by dsl modem you mean a router?
