I'm trying to edit my intro_60.bik file to play a music video instead of the usual Bungie logo.
The problem is that I can get the video to run as attract_60.bik but it refuses to play as intro_60.bik and I get the percentile loading screen.
My only guess is that there's a limit to the filesize/length. My video is 88.23 Megs and at 3:59 time wise, waaaaay bigger than the original. I've also tried a different video but again, it worked as attract_60.bik but not intro_60.bik, that one is 33 Megs and 1:30 in length.
Am I missing a step or some special need? My videos are all .avi's I had converted to .bik using RAD tools and like I said, work fine as attract_60.bik but never as intro_60.bik.
Is there any solution to this problem? (I've checked many times and I am making the filename right)
[Halo 2] Intro editing problem.
I'm having the same problem. I got it to work but don't now for sure what it is. May be one of 2 reasons or both. The first time it didn't work the file size of my video was 24.9mb (original bungie 12.6mb). When I analyzed the file mine had a 2,930,000 bytes per second and the original had 2,819,000. So what I did to lower both the file size and the Bytes per second was lower the "Compress to a data rate (bytes)" value. The final video was smaller than the original and with less bytes per second. This one did play. Hope this helps.
