Auto Update 1.1

ok guys recently xbox live released the auto update 1.1 for halo 2

anywhere i can download it and ftp it to my xbox thorugh UDATA OR watever

the auto update?? i thought only the maps are coming out for purchase

so ur trying to say that we have to by or practicly download a copy of the maptacular and it will have the auto update with it?

guys i downloaded this Halo2Updates

it has the auto update 1.1 and i tells me to put it in in the TDATA folder then put the default.xbe in the halo 2 folder

so!!!!

i put the default.xbe in the udata then?? or whre????

For 1. The auto Update cant be placed in through ftp. It wouldnt do it. I got it the normal lway though.

Second, it will come out on cd with the maps soon. Not sure an exact date

i just wanted to know if the auto update will come with the dvd that is coming out soon with all the maps

ALSO,

since the maps are coming out on monday for xbox live, is there anyway to get these maps witout getting xbox live or having to buy the dvd with the other maps

ex: will the maps go directly to the hard drive, like a UDATA folder? if so we would beable to put them on without any problem? if we downloaded them or something

Well, your gonna to have to buy Xbl, or the dvd to get the maps. They would not be availible here. That would mean ripping off Bungie. We want you to buy Xbl and the dvd. It supports the game so they can continue to make more.

I wouldnt suggest getting a ripped map and putting it on your xbox. Youll see why because I know your going to

dammit well i already had xbox live and got banned when my modchip was off, so my chances are ruined i guess? (i got banned for modified hardware or software)

any ways to get unbanned from xbox live?????

Happens, but thats the risk you take. You cant get unbanned. You have to get a new gamertag.
www.xbox-scene.com should help you there.

Just buy the dvd for $20. Comes with maps, updates, and movies of behind the scenes(I think)

it was banned for modified hard ware so i m guessing it bans the ip address????

not just the profile

getting another gamertag is no problem but well ill try it and see if it works

i have like 10 xbox live 2 months free cards

1: Auto Updates go (for the most part) into TDATA.
- This means you can download the new updates, but you will rip off a hard working company.
2: XBL will ban you if they can detect a Hard Drive with more space then stock.
- There is a theory on this, that if you get XBL then you upgrade your Hard Drive, you get banned. But if you upgrade then get XBL, you lock your new hard drive, and you boot chip off, you will play XBL successfully.
3: XBL does NOT ban your IP adress, they ban the EEPROM specific to your xbox. Therefore, you can make a new account, but it won't work on the xbox that you were banned from.
- There are people that sell online keys and/or EEPROMs, your best bet it to get a friend who has a mod without XBL and steal his.

If I forgot anything or made a mistake, someone correct me please.
