I like the idea of keeping it small, there are too many maps out there that are huge enough already. That will be one of the collest things about this map, its size.

there won't be any more than just the core, the hallway, and the flagroom.

the small size is quite a different approach than my previous maps. lol. i want to keep it that way.

Small and open maps don't do well. Either make it enclosed, with hallways and doorways, or make it large.

yeah, cus if infinitem nade sis on, people will just lob nades down into the brawl and gets tons of kills. Also people can sniper pwn anyone there as well. Vehciles in the core room might be nice.

Katarn is right, you should make it look kindof like Clastrophobia (one of the best maps ever) that would be nice

You could add a god to the map. Like maybe th reactor is leaking or something. Or. make a bunch of planes going through the map, and texture em see through but stil have a bit of coloration.

neither do i. Anyways, just make sure there is a lot of cover, but barricades wouldn't work. It would still be a nade spamming contest.

i just added some cover, it's not much, but i'm working on it. the poly count for the core area is low, not passing 4k yet.

quick update. i added the coveant-esque architecture pillars to the core room. i had to resolve some issues that i was having with max. but now i can get things working correctly again.

notice anything that bungie would've done? hint: some number...

heres an idea. im not sure how you would do this, but you could have it so that when a grenade or rocket explodes in the blue energy part, there could be an extremely large explosion that damages everyone. just a thought

Dunno if that is possible, but there should defiantly be a nuke in the middle of the beam, that is impossible to get so people jsut keep trying and die :twisted:
